Track 1 features the first installment of the Therefore Phone Project. The Phone Project was a collaborative call-in composition utilizing a voice mail system to gather sounds and performed micro-scores. People were invited to call in and submit brief pieces, which were later sampled and arranged by Therefore.

Track 3 is a remix of Sufjan Steven’s “Year of the Boar” and track 5 is a remix of Steven’s “Year of the Monkey,” off of his album entitled Enjoy Your Rabbit.

THEREFORE PHONE PROJECT
Collaborative call-in composition

You are invited to participate in therefore’s latest collaborative composition. The project utilizes a voice mail system to gather sounds and executed micro-scores. To participate simply call either of the two phone numbers listed below. Access the individual mailbox and record your name and/or project name, followed by your musical/sound contribution. Please try to keep your submissions brief, preferably under 30 seconds. We suggest that your piece be non-verbal.
